Overview
As you climb the stairs running alongside the rocky cliff, you’ll see a massive tree standing tall atop a stone wall. This zelkova tree, over 400 years old, has grown a uniquely heart-shaped branch, earning it the nickname “Love Tree.” With its half-heart-shaped branches and having stood in the same spot for over 400 years—leading to its designation as a Natural Monument in 2021—the Love Tree attracts countless tourists every year. With this tree as a backdrop, it has gained popularity as a filming location for various TV dramas. The open field where the Love Tree stands hosts a variety of events, such as the Sunrise Festival and a memorial service for the anonymous soldiers of the Baekje Kingdom.
