Overview

The Gapcheon Stream originates at Daedunsan Mountain and flows into the Geumgang River. The stretch of the stream that runs in front of Chungnam National University and the KAIST campus is a particularly popular picnic spot. With walking trails and dedicated bike paths in place, there is a constant stream of visitors coming to exercise, take walks, or go for bike rides. As it allows people to fully enjoy the beautiful scenery of the stream, it is one of the most beloved attractions among Daejeon residents. With nearby attractions such as Yuseong Hot Springs, Yurim Hot Springs, Expo Science Park, Daejeon Shinsegae Art & Science, Seongsimdang, and Hanbat Arboretum, it’s also an excellent destination for combined sightseeing.
