Overview
The WSL Siheung Korea Open is held at Wave Park in Siheung, Asia’s largest artificial surfing facility, over three days. As Korea’s first official World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series event, and the first to take place in an artificial wave pool, it has drawn global attention from the surfing community. The venue features a 2,240-meter-long cove and can accommodate up to 160 athletes and 20,000 spectators.
The competition features top surfers from multiple countries across men’s and women’s shortboard and longboard divisions. Recognized as a key international event, it is broadcast in several countries and serves as an important stage for competitive surfing in the region. The event is hosted by the Siheung and organized in collaboration with local sports and media partners, with support from national and regional institutions.
