Overview
This parasitic cone is also called Geonjeoreum. Oreum is a Jeju dialect referring to mountains or peaks. Today, it is used to refer to the parasitic cones from volcano eruptions located throughout Jeju. Gwonjeoreum Parasitic Cone is less than 300 meters tall, appearing to be more of a hill than a mountain. Its diminutive size makes it very easy to climb, and there’s no concern of losing one’s way. Its location within the Jeju National University also makes it a popular walking spot for university students and locals. The trails are well managed and has gentle slopes, ideal for a pleasant stroll
